PROJECT RIGHT STEPS
"Young children with challenging
behaviors are more likely to experience difficulty when they enter school. To
prepare children for school success and happier lives, a new program, Right
Steps, is now accepting referrals. The Chesapeake Child Care Resource Center
at Chesapeake College will provide FREE behavioral consultation to parents and
child care providers for children birth to 5 years who are in need. A team of
mental health specialists offers services including observation, assessment,
consultation with the child care provider and parents, and recommendations for
further evaluation. Services are provided at the child care center or family
child care home. These services are available in Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Kent,
Caroline and Dorchester counties."
If you are a center teacher, family child care provider, or parent
experiencing concern about a child, phone Peg Anawalt, Project
Coordinator at 410-822-5400 ext. 357. She and a team of trained early
childhood mental health specialists are waiting to help you.
"Help children find the Right
Steps."
